The Carved Aluminium BENCH is a sculptural evolution of everyday furniture. Its form starts with familiar woodwork logic, translated into industrial aluminium, then artistically “rotted” away to expose voids like a deconstructed relic. This interplay of precise fabrication and human imperfection critiques the lifecycle of materials and objects. Soft Baroque’s process — assembling, freehand carving, sanding, and anodising — leaves subtle traces of craftsmanship in an otherwise sleek surface. Functional yet deeply conceptual, the bench exists as both design object and cultural commentary on our fast-moving, paradoxical era.
