This side table embodies Soft Baroque’s signature approach of blending functionality with poetic contradiction. What began as a classic wooden plank structure is reimagined in hollow box-section aluminium, then “eroded” as if decaying over time. The freehand cutouts, smooth yet raw, evoke a digital skin — a fragile surface with nothing beneath. Each piece is carefully assembled, cut, sanded, and anodised, resulting in a work that feels both futuristic and nostalgic.
